About the Gallery

Founded in 2016 through the unification of Albemarle Gallery (est. 1996) and Shine Artists (est. 2011), Pontone Gallery brings together a legacy of technical mastery with a forward-thinking approach to contemporary art.

Located in the heart of London’s West End, the gallery, consisting of 2,800 square feet of space over two floors, sits at the crossroads of Soho, Fitzrovia, and Mayfair - an area long associated with some of the world’s most influential galleries and cultural institutions.

Representing an international roster, Pontone Gallery showcases artists working across painting, sculpture, video, and installation - championing those who push the boundaries of materiality and concept. With a strong global presence, the gallery participates in major art fairs across the US and Asia and collaborates with institutions and collectors worldwide. Its partner space, Friedrichs Pontone, in New York’s Tribeca art district, further extends its reach.

As it continues to grow, Pontone Gallery remains dedicated to fostering artistic innovation and redefining the role of the contemporary gallery.
