Pontone Gallery and Friedrichs Pontone are pleased to announce their joint participation in the 19th edition of Contemporary Istanbul, taking place at Tersane Istanbul. Since its founding in 2006, the fair has established itself as a leading platform for global cultural exchange, positioning Istanbul as a pivotal hub on the international art stage.
For our debut at Contemporary Istanbul, we present a curated selection of artists whose practices span realism, symbolism, and abstraction, united by a deep engagement with materiality and narrative. The presentation reflects the shared ethos of both galleries: to champion artists who combine technical mastery with contemporary relevance.

Matteo Massagrande — architectural interiors that are at once serene and surreal, steeped in memory and echoing Istanbul’s own layered history of spaces.
